News Sara Bareilles Will Host New Edition of Waitress’ ‘Cast Album Karaoke’ The Grammy- and Tony-nominated singer-songwriter will welcome fans to take the stage and sing her hits from the musical.

Sara Bareilles, who played a star turn in her musical Waitress earlier this year, will return to the Brooks Atkinson Theatre stage September 21 to host the musical’s next “Cast Album Karaoke” session.

Audience members at the 7 PM performance that day will have the opportunity to sign up prior to the show for a chance to sing a portion of any of the songs from the score, accompanied by musical director Nadia DiGiallonardo.

Additionally, a new block of tickets are now on sale through July 1, 2018. A national tour kicks off October 17 in Cleveland.

Earlier this year, Playbill presented the March return of the karaoke series. Winner Bridget Hughes won the opportunity to make her Broadway debut with a walk-on role.

The current cast of Waitress features Betsy Wolfe as Jenna, Drew Gehling as Dr. Pomatter, Tony nominees Will Swenson and Christopher Fitzgerald as Earl and Ogie, respectively, Eric Anderson as Cal, Maia Nkenge Wilson as Becky, Caitlin Houlahan as Dawn, and Larry Marshall as Joe.
