Mean Girls star Kate Rockwell will perform her solo show Back to My Roots at the Loft at City Winery April 22 at 8 PM. The concert is based on her 2018 debut album of the same title.
Back to My Roots explores Rockwell’s early years and her inspiration to become an actor, with songs by Cy Coleman, Frank Wildhorn, Stephen Sondheim, Andrew Lloyd Webber, William Finn, and more.
Rockwell was Drama Desk-nominated for her performance as Karen Smith in Mean Girls. She has also appeared in the Broadway productions of Legally Blonde, Rock of Ages, and Bring It On: The Musical.
