On May 18, the fifth annual Student Theatre Arts Festival took place at Broadway's American Airlines Theatre. More than 150 students participated in Roundabout Theatre Company's Education at Roundabout residencies and after school programs, and they took the stage to show everyone what they'd been up to. After an inspiring Andy Karl spoke about the power of theatre, the kids presented excerpts from their shows including Little Shop of Horrors, a reimagined The Crucible and original works that focused on climate change, AIDS awareness and dealing with sexual assault.
