Paulo Szot Celebrates Sinatra's 100th Birthday in Bossa Nova Style

Tonight, Paulo Szot begins a series of shows at 54 Below celebrating the 100th birthday of iconic crooner Frank Sinatra. As a Brazilian, Szot was most affected by Sinatra's collaborations with Antônio Carlos Jobim, widely regarded as the primary force behind the creation of the bossa nova style. Szot's sets at 54 Below will draw from tunes recorded by the pair in 1967 and '69. Here, along with music director Klaus Muller on piano, Szot runs through "This Happy Madness."
