Carnegie Hall

Carnegie Hall, a magnificent venue designed by William Burnet Tuthill and produced by Andrew Carnegie, officially opened in May 1891. Throughout its long history, the venue has hosted legendary performances by Judy Garland, the Benny Goodman Orchestra and the Beatles. Because it serves primarily as a music hall, it is not considered a Tony-eligible Broadway theatre. Carnegie Hall achieved New York City landmark status in 1967.
