While the publicity for this production emphasizes that it's the show's first Broadway revival -- and it is -- it has had a number of previous returns to the NY metropolitan area, including stagings at City Center, Jones Beach Marine Theatre, and the 1990 New York City Opera mounting, the latter the only (and almost definitely the last) time since the Broadway premiere that New York saw the show in its original form.

So it was a great idea to reunite them for an album of theatre "Duets," and the result should please not only Side Show freaks but many others.

Right now, as I write, it's pretty darn cold, and I got a code in my doze. Does anyone still wear a hat? This week, at least here in the Northeast, everyone had better.
