DESCRIPTION

The award-winning Irish Repertory Theatre Company which celebrates 35+ years of presenting work by Irish and Irish-American classic and contemporary playwrights is looking for a Wardrobe Supervisor to supervise their upcoming Off-Broadway show entitled A CHILD’S CHRISTMAS IN WALES which runs from December 4-29, 2024. Successful candidate will have the possibility of future consideration for a full-time year-round position with benefits starting in 2025.

The Wardrobe Supervisor would start November 11 and will work 40 hours per week (with the possibility of hours increasing during tech and strike).

Responsibilities include:

· Dry-cleaning and laundry;

· Organizing and maintaining the green room and dressing rooms at the theater;

· Costume/Wardrobe Load-in and strike of show;

· Maintenance of costumes during run of each show;

· Maintaining Irish Rep costume and shoe stock;

· Providing rehearsal items as needed;

· Keeping stock of basic general items like t-shirts, buttons, socks, etc.;

· Assist costume designers with construction, fittings, alterations, paperwork, and racking;

· Assist Production Manager with maintenance, moving and storage of production items;

· And other such production-related duties as reasonably requested.

Qualifications

At least one year of experience with costumes and wardrobe in a professional setting.
Must have a positive attitude, enjoy working as member of a team and have a willingness to jump in and help where needed.
