Seeking Dancers for Karl or the Fog

Columbia University MFA Year 2 production is looking for 2 male dancers and 2 female dancers of any style—popping, locking, b-boy, contemporary, ballet, or any other discipline. All styles are welcome, so feel free to submit!

About the Production:

This is not a musical—Karl or the Fog is a straight play with choreographed movement. We are seeking both choreographers and performers, so we encourage submissions from dancers who are open to doing both.

Rehearsal & Performance Schedule:

• Rehearsals: April 4 – April 30
• Tech Rehearsals: May 1 – May 8
• Performances: May 9 & 10 (3 total performances)

Submission Requirements:

• A video (1–3 minutes) of your dance (you may submit more than one).
• Your resume.
• Your availability & conflicts between April 4 – May 10.
• A short written response (in the body of your email) sharing:
  • A little bit about yourself.
  • Your approach to choreography (your process, how you create movement).
  • Your experience with freestyling—do you prefer freestyle or choreography, and why?
