DESCRIPTION

RJ Magee Casting is seeking submissions from non-union performers for a one hour presentation of a new musical that will be presented in Atlanta in June 2024 as part of the Lavender Performing Arts Festival.

We are casting four roles for actors that are based out of NYC, the rest of the cast will be ATLANTA BASED.

In addition to emailing a headshot, resume, and video footage with singing to [email protected], PLEASE specify your city in the subject of your submission: NYC or Atlanta

Upon receipt and review of your submission, we will respond with material to tape.

Principals:
WES FLYNN (m), (baritenor, A2-G4), person of color, a 20 year old Junior in College in Beloit, Wisconsin. An out bi-sexual star athlete, he just transferred from a school in Chicago. He's well travelled and an army brat with some trauma walls. He's never really been in once place for too long so lacks deep connections. SEEKING AN NYC-BASED ACTOR/SINGER FOR THIS ROLE. ATLANTA HOUSING WILL BE INCLUDED. PAY RATE IS $400 FLAT.


EVAN BAINES (m), (character tenor, C3-F4), any ethnicity, a 20 year old Junior at Central Iowa State U. He is the team manager for the Bisons and is a fierce baseball enthusiast to the point of engaging in humorously inappropriate acts to make a point. SEEKING AN ATLANTA-BASED ACTOR/SINGER FOR THIS ROLE. PAY RATE IS $200 FLAT.

ALICE HOPPER (f), (Mezzo, Bb3-F5), any ethnicity, 40s, Ryan's Mom and a happily divorced supervisor at the local grocery store. She has always had a blueprint for Ryan that did not include leaving the nest. SEEKING AN NYC-BASED ACTOR/SINGER FOR THIS ROLE. PAY RATE IS $400 FLAT.


PROFESSOR FISHBEIN (f), (Mezzo, Bb3-F5), 40s, any ethnicity, A biology professor who offers Ryan an opportunity after seeing a spark in his regarding Marine Biology. SEEKING AN ATLANTA-BASED ACTOR/SINGER FOR THIS ROLE. PAY RATE IS $200 FLAT.


EUGENE KREBS (m), tenor, 21, any ethnicity, a senior at Beloit and on the Badgers team. A stereotypical Jock who says funny shit. SEEKING AN ATLANTA-BASED ACTOR/SINGER FOR THIS ROLE. PAY RATE IS $200 FLAT.


COLE BRUNNER (m), tenor, 20, any ethnicity, a junior at Beloit and on the Badgers team. A smart kid who is alway excited to party and experience life. SEEKING AN ATLANTA-BASED ACTOR/SINGER FOR THIS ROLE. PAY RATE IS $200 FLAT.


Ensemble Players (m), tenors, all ethnicities, young adults, can pull off college baseball player vibes. SEEKING ATLANTA-BASED ACTOR/SINGERS FOR THESE ROLES. PAY RATE IS $200 FLAT.

RYAN HOPPER (m), (tenor, C3-A4), a recently out gay 19 year old Sophomore at Central Iowa State U near his hometown in Iowa. He's recently joined his school's baseball team as a relief pitcher. A Mama's boy and somewhat sheltered, he comes from a working class family and he quietly yearns to leave the midwest and pursue bigger goals like studying Marine Life somewhere near a big body of water. THIS ROLE IS CAST. SEEKING POTENTIAL REPLACEMENTS ONLY.

JUNIE BERGER (f), (mezzo w/high mix belt, A3-G5), a 19 year old Sophomore in college with her lifelong best friend Ryan. She is a free spirit and positive, able to turn lemons into lemonade and is happy in her sphere. She is pursuing Drama Therapy as a major. THIS ROLE IS CAST. SEEKING POTENTIAL REPLACEMENTS ONLY.
