SEEKING
SEEKING FUTURE REPLACEMENTS FOR ENSEMBLE ROLES in MAMMA MIA!. Seeking strong dancers (Early 20s) with a contemporary look who sing well. Some featured ensemble roles have dance specialties for which Russian split jumps and acrobatics are a plus. May play a featured ensemble role. (See breakdown.)
The songs of the pop group Abba provide the score for this romantic comedy that contrasts the dreams and desires of a young woman about to become a bride with those of her mother, a free spirit of the 70s who never married. Mamma Mia! takes place at a taverna on a Greek island. The cast should be quirky and offbeat; we are not seeking obvious musical theater performers. Actors who sing with a strong rock sound and move well work best in this show.
PREPARATION
Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in, and sneakers or another comfortable flat dance shoe. Bring a hardcopy headshot and resume.
