Job Description:

SOLATO is looking for an outgoing and engaging Brand Ambassador to promote our gelato machines at events. Alongside the Sales and Client Success teams, this role will build and develop relationships with key accounts to drive consumption & encourage product trial.

This opportunity will take you to events around the NY area as well as travel to other sites around the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote and demo our product at events around the NYC area (with potential travel to the West Coast and Florida) to grow brand awareness and increase sales

• Develop a genuine customer connection through exemplary customer service

• Excite and educate guests about product key features and the Solato mission

• Accurately track, record, and report on the inventory of products and supplies

• Provide timely and thoughtful event recaps to help us understand and cater to our target audience

• Assist with event set up/break down

Brand Ambassador Characteristics:

• An outgoing, enthusiastic, friendly, positive personality, with a desire to meet new people

• Polished and professional executive presence able to interact with clients, guests, and coworkers in a friendly and outgoing manner

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• A responsible, detail-oriented, self-starter

• A problem-solver able to adapt and adjust to a change in circumstance

• Team player, able to work alongside several teams

Qualifications:

• An understanding of sales principles and customer service practices

• Knowledge of the food industry and food safety is helpful

• Must be able to sample the product and to effectively communicate product benefits

• Daily access to a smartphone

• Must be able to work nights and weekends (nontraditional business hours) throughout your target market and the surrounding areas

• Ability to stand comfortably for at least 4 hours a day

• Ability to lift up to 55lbs (Reasonable accommodations will be made for any employee when necessary)

• A gelato lover!

Schedule and compensation:

• $22-25/hour, starting at 8-20 hours per week

• When travel is required (anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks) to the West Coast/Florida/around the US, you will receive a daily rate with an additional food stipend

SALARY

$22.00 – $25.00 per hour
