Arizona Broadway Theatre is specifically seeking SUBMISSIONS for immediate replacement roles in our upcoming production of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. Must be available for entire duration of contract dates. Only non-Equity submissions will be accepted: 

Beautiful: The Carole King Musical: Rehearsals begin April 5, 2025. Performances from April 25 through June 5, 2025.

Gerry Goffin – (Baritone/Tenor, Age Range: 25 - 40) White, male presenting character. Carole’s boyfriend, songwriting partner and eventual husband. He is smoldering, dark & handsome with a rebel vibe. Although sexy, he is innately sympathetic, wounded and tortured. An ambitious artist always striving for more. Seeking a strong actor who sings well.

Cynthia Weil - (Mezzo-Soprano, Age Range: 25 – 40) White, female presenting character. Talented songwriter who becomes romantically involved with Barry. Carole's best friend. She is sophisticated, smart & chic with a quick wit. Although self-confident and sarcastic, she is also extremely likeable.

Marilyn Wald/Ensemble - (Alto, Age Range: 20 – 40) White female presenting character. A pop singer, notably performing “Pleasant Valley Sunday.” Will double in ensemble roles throughout the show and will include dancing in ensemble numbers.

Righteous Brother/Nick/Ensemble - (Bari-Tenor, Age Range: 20 – 40) White, male presenting character. New York based session musician. Responsible for getting Carole to come out of her “woman behind the curtain” shell and perform her music as herself. Non-dancing role but will require singing and some movement in ensemble numbers.

Drifters – (Vocal Range: B2 to Eb5, Age Range: 20s – 30s) Black, male presenting. Doo-wop superstars of the era. Must have a strong ability to blend/harmonize and be excellent movers. Will double in ensemble roles throughout the show.
