Heidi Schreck’s Tony Award-nominated play What the Constitution Means to Me will launch a U.S. national tour in January 2020 with a new actor in the leading role. Schreck, who earned Tony nominations this season for Best Play and Best Actress in a Play, currently appears in the Broadway production that is scheduled to run through August 24 at the Helen Hayes Theatre.
The tour will mark the first time the play will be presented without Schreck in the leading role. Schreck and director Oliver Butler are currently at work assembling new cast members for the production.
What the Constitution Means to Me will launch its national tour at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles in January 2020, with stops to follow in Charlotte, Hartford, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, with more to be announced.
