Second Stage's production of Amy Berryman’s Walden officially opened November 7 following previews that began October 16 at Off-Broadway's Tony Kiser Theater, and the reviews are rolling in. See what critics are saying below.

The Whitney White-directed production features Emmy Rossum (Shameless, The Phantom of the Opera) and Zoë Winters (Success, Heroes of the Fourth Turning), who play two estranged sisters struggling to align, joined by Motell Foster (La Cocina, Clickbait, Othello).

Set in the near future, Walden follows Stella (Rossum) and her fiancé Bryan (Foster), who are waiting at their cabin for Stella’s estranged twin sister, Cassie (Winters). Raised by their astronaut father to be NASA scientists, the twins have taken different paths: Cassie has just returned from a successful moon mission, while Stella has left NASA behind. When they reunite, old conflicts reignite, forcing the sisters to choose between staying on Earth or pursuing a future in space.
