Industry presentations of Rodney Hicks' new dark comedy inhale-EXHALE will be presented April 26 in Manhattan.
Directed by Josh Rhodes (Spamalot), the cast will feature Emmy winner Wayne Brady (The Wiz), Christopher J. Hanke (How to Succeed…), Tony nominee Crystal Lucas-Perry (Ain’t No Mo), and Tony nominee Elizabeth Stanley (Jagged Little Pill).
In the new work, four guides must fulfill their contract after a mysterious door opens leading them underground to finish their Understanding America tour. Through a series of vignettes, they take us through today, yesterday, and tomorrow, uncovering a town of people in need of connection in everywhere America.
The creative team also includes general manager Evan Bernardin Productions, scenic designer Nate Bertone, production stage manager Benjamin A. Vigil, and assistant stage manager Ada Zhang.
Playwright Hicks has been seen on Broadway in Come From Away, Rent, The Scottsboro Boys, and Jesus Christ Superstar.
