Wilson Jermaine Heredia admits he never set out to be a musical theatre performer. That's just one of the many factoids that Heredia will share in his upcoming January 19 concert at Chelsea Table + Stage. The concert will also be livestreamed.
When describing the evening, the Heredia says "it's a collection of stories, it's a collection of songs," that he's accrued over his career. Among the songs he will sing will be the song that landed him the role of Angel in Rent, which he won a Tony Award for. "People will get to know my soul ... and truly get to know me," Heredia teases. Orfeh will also be a special guest.
Heredia came to the Playbill studio and performed "I Am the One," from Next to Normal, which he recently performed at the Westport County Playhouse.
