High school musical theatre performers from across the U.S. have gathered in New York City this week to compete in the 2017 National High School Musical Theatre Awards, also known as the Jimmys, which are presented June 26 at Broadway’s Minskoff Theatre. Tony-winning Dear Evan Hansen star Ben Platt hosts the 7:30 PM ceremony.
Several of this year’s nominees were given the opportunity to submit questions to the Broadway stars who inspire them, including Tony Award nominees Josh Groban (The Great Comet), Ramin Karimloo (Anastasia), and Miss Saigon’s Eva Noblezada (a 2013 Jimmy Award nominee), each of whom responded in an on-camera message.
