Film & TV Features Watch Jeremy Jordan and Casey Likes in This Exclusive Clip From Spinning Gold

The two Broadway talents star in the upcoming film about the founder of the '70s record label Casablanca.

Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan and Broadway newcomer Casey Likes are lending their talents to the big screen this month for the new rock biopic Spinning Gold, due out in theatres March 31.

Jordan leads the film as Neil Bogart, founder of Casablanca Records, the label that first signed Kiss, Donna Summer, and the Village People. Likes plays Gene Simmons, the Demon bass player from the rock spectacle band Kiss.

In this quiet scene on the back of a tour bus, Bogart tells Simmons (sans makeup) why he signed Kiss—with both Jordan and Likes rocking some big hair. Watch the exclusive clip above.

Neil's son Timothy Scott Bogart writes and directs the film, chronicling his father's life through its million-dollar debts, disco successes, and Motown death threats—all set to the soundtrack he created at Casablanca. The large cast list is a who’s-who of today’s music scene, including Wiz Khalifa, Jason Derulo, Ledisi, and Tayla Parx.

Likes made his Broadway premiere earlier in this season in another musical set in the world of rock, Almost Famous. He'll be starring in Back to the Future on Broadway this summer.

Coincidentally, Jordan's Broadway premiere was also in a rock musical; he was an understudy in the original cast of Rock of Ages. He's also been seen on Broadway in Newsies, Waitress, Bonnie and Clyde, and American Son.
