Video Video: Watch Ben Platt and Cynthia Erivo 'Get Happy' Live at Broadway's Palace

The two Tony winners joined voices for a duet of the classic "Get Happy/Happy Days Are Here Again" medley.

Tony winner Cynthia Erivo was a recent guest at Ben Platt's current engagement marking the reopening of Broadway's Palace Theatre.

The two Tony winners put their own stamp on the classic Judy Garland-Barbra Streisand medley of "Get Happy" and "Happy Days Are Here Again." Watch Erivo and Platt perform the songs in the video above, which was posted to the latter's official YouTube channel.

Check out the original Garland-Streisand performance below.

Platt began his three-week concert residency at Broadway's refurbished Palace May 28. The concert is the first tenant for the newly renovated theatre, which closed in 2018 to be lifted and make room for new retail space below. Platt is offering 18 performances of Ben Platt: Live at the Palace through June 15 in celebration of his third album.

The residency is directed by Tony winner Michael Arden, who directed Platt in his Tony-nominated performance as Leo Frank in the recent Broadway revival of Parade. He is joined nightly on stage of the Palace by various special guests.

The Palace Theatre has hosted legendary performers including Garland, Josephine Baker, Harry Belafonte, Shirley MacLaine, Bette Midler, Diana Ross, Liza Minnelli, and more. The venue's last show was 2017's SpongeBob SquarePants.
