In a partnership with Sesame Workshop, & Juliet will donate a portion of proceeds to the organization's educational endeavors.

Broadway's & Juliet and Sesame Workshop have come together for a collaboration in support of Sesame Workshop’s multi-year commitment to providing resources and content dedicated to emotional well-being of young children and families.

To celebrate the partnership, Lorna Courtney and Betsy Wolfe, who play Juliet and Anne Hathaway in & Juliet, respectively, welcomed Sesame Street Muppets Elmo, Gabrielle, and Tango to the Stephen Sondheim Theatre where they taught them a little lesson on being brave. See the video above, featuring a group performance of "Roar."

& Juliet will also be donating $1 from every ticket purchased between now and midnight October 10, up to $10,000, to Sesame Workshop to support of the organization’s educational endeavors.

The musical picks up where Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet ends, with Shakepeare's wife Anne Hathaway suggesting that the play not end in tragedy. It features a book penned by Emmy winner David West Read (Schitt's Creek) and a score comprising music from Grammy-winning songwriter Max Martin's catalog, such as “Since U Been Gone,” “Baby One More Time,” “Larger Than Life,” “That’s The Way It Is,” and, of course, "Roar."

Along with Courtney and Wolfe, the cast of & Juliet also includes Austin Scott as Shakespeare, Justin David Sullivan as May, Melanie La Barrie as Angelique, Ben Jackson Walker as Romeo, Philippe Arroyo as Francois, and Tony winner Paulo Szot as Lance.
