Directed by Rod Gailes, the reading of Gailes and James Murray Jackson, Jr.'s play will be presented at 7 PM at Studio 3A at the New 42nd StreetSM Studios. Loretta Devine, who created the role of Lorrell Robinson in the original Broadway production of Dreamgirls, is featured in a cast that also includes Paris Campbell, Michelle Wilson, Pernell Walker and James Murray Jackson, Jr.

Unspeakable, according to press notes, "is an unflinching ride through the emotional landscape of iconic comedic legend Richard Pryor. Growing up in a Peoria brothel, where his mother toiled as a prostitute that his grandmother owned and operated, Richard faced situations that forever shaped and scarred his sensitive soul. Coping with the reality of being born into the life, his imagination allows him to escape and ultimately leads him to comedy. Experience his rise to superstardom in the shadow of Bill Cosby and his blazingly self-destructive love affair with cocaine….and Jennifer."

Loretta Devine has also been seen on Broadway in Hair, A Broadway Musical, Comin' Uptown and Big Deal. Among her more recent screen credits are "Eli Stone," "Boston Public," "Boston Legal" and "Ally McBeal."

Studio 3A at the New 42nd StreetSM Studios is located in Manhattan at 229 West 42nd Street.
