NYC LGBTQIA+ theatre company TOSOS will host a reading series offering free performances of LGBTQIA+ works.
The Chelsey/Chambers Reading Series will kick off February 22 with Lanford Wilson's Lemon Sky, directed by Reesa Graham. The 1970 work follows a 17-year-old boy who visits his father, divorced and remarried, looking for some love and support. The cast will include Jamie Heinlein, Jake Mendes, Dawson Sciacca, Raquel Sciacca, Hannah Snow, Tom Souhrada, and Sean-Edward Varner. To attend, register here.
Danielle Frimer's P. Pan Et Al will follow March 21, with Hannah Katz directing. The work tells the story of Maude Adams, an actor once synonymous with her most famous role, Peter Pan, who later played a pivotal part in the creation of color movies. Register to attend here.
The series will close with John Patterson's MASK4MASK, directed by Rulas A. Muñoz. Patterson's story follows country singer Grant Collins, who struggles to reinvent himself as a gay pop star after being publicly outed. A registration link will be available in the coming weeks.
