The pair were married October 16, 2022, in a whirlwind ceremony that was planned in two months. Their relationship, which began as a backstage friendship at A Raisin in the Sun on Broadway in 2014, has been kept under wraps, with their partnership only being confirmed with news of their wedding.
The couple are the cover stars for Brides Magazine's January issue, where they shared the details of their courtship, their Secret Santa Zoom proposal, and how Rose surprised Dirden with a performance of their song, Norah Jones' "Come Away With Me," for their first dance.
“The only other person who knew that this was happening was the DJ,” Rose shared with Brides. “I saw the moment Jason realized it was me singing. Meanwhile, my family knew it was me from the moment the first beat dropped! Jason was so focused on the dance that it took him about two lines in before he had that Ah moment.”
The private ceremony was officiated by fellow Broadway alum Colman Domingo, DJ'd by George 2.0, and photographed by Adonye Jaja. Photos of the nuptials are available at Brides.com, as well as the full story of the couples romance.
