Steggert was nominated for a Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, Outer Critics Circle Award and a Drama League Award in 2010 for his performance in the 2009 revival of Ragtime. He will be joined by mezzo-soprano Rinat Shaham, making her ERC debut, baritone Sidney Outlaw, and pianists Max Barros and Eve Wolf. The concert employs music by Schubert, Brahms, Liszt, Wolf, Mahler and Pfitzner to illuminate what Melo described as "a relentless psychological voyage that is timeless, passionate and emblematic of our most fundamental emotions."
The 8 PM concerts will be preceded by a lecture at 7 PM. Symphony Space is located at 2537 Broadway (at 95th Street) in New York. Tickets cost $49; $19 for students. To purchase, contact Symphony Space at (212) 864-5400 or visit symphonyspace.org.
