Monday, Aug. 3: Leading lady Laura Osnes joins the Broadway at Birdland concert series, accompanied by Fred Lassen in An Evening with Laura Osnes, which will include tunes from her two solo albums as well as past shows and cabarets. Best known for her Tony-nominated performances in Cinderella and Bonnie & Clyde, Osnes has also starred in Anything Goes, South Pacific and Grease. Tickets $40, 7 PM.
Tuesday, Aug. 4: Fresh from performing with a star-studded cast in L.A., Billy Mitchell's improvisational comedy show Villain De Blanks returns to 54 Below with a very fun and talented cast that includes Angela Robinson from "The Haves and The Have Nots," Tony nominee Brenda Braxton and Broadway leading man Kingsley Leggs among others. The audience provides nouns, adjectives, and verbs while the actors provide the entertainment. Proceeds benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Tickets $25-$35, 9:30 PM.
Wednesday, Aug. 5: Emmy-nominated comedian and composer Daniel Koren hails from Israel but now calls New York City home. In his latest show, he is in search of The Most Important Thing. Koren's work has been featured on Comedy Central's Tosh. O, the Huffington Post and Ryan Seacrest. Tickets $15, 9:30 PM.
54 Below, in collaboration with the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene's KulturefestNYC, hosts a tribute concert in honor of the late Theodore Bikel, who passed away July 21. The evening features a host of Broadway stars including longtime friends and past co-stars. Tickets $25-$35, 9:30 PM.
Thursday, Aug. 6: A cast of Broadway performers, including Wesley Taylor, Tam Mutu and Ashley Park, bring the popular concept of Throwback Thursday (#tbt) to the stage at 54 Below. #tbtLIVE Throwback Thursday: The Concert features songs from the performers' childhoods, paired with "embarrassing" photos and videos. Tony winner Donna McKechnie, who created the role of Cassie in A Chorus Line, returns to the stage at 54 Below with Same Place: Another Time, a show saluting the remarkable era that was the 70's in New York City. McKechnie, whose Broadway credits also include On the Town and Company, blends the music of Jim Croce, Peter Allen, Marvin Hamlisch and Stephen Sondheim. Also on Aug. 9. Tickets $50-$60, 7 PM.
Friday, Aug. 7-8: Based on the Broadway musical thriller written by Frank Wildhorn and Leslie Bricusse, Jekyll & Hyde Resurrection is a live concert featuring the music and songs from the 2006 cast album. The concert reunites original Broadway cast members Rob Evan and Kate Shindle. Tickets $40-$50, 7 PM and 9:30 PM.
