Hnath's play picks up 15 years after Ibsen's original play. Nora has slammed the door on her marriage to pursue her own happiness and livelihood. Now, she returns to face the family she left behind—for reasons unknown to those she walked away from.
The production is performed in the round. Featured on the creative team are designer Rae Smith, and lighting designer Asuza Ono.
Hnath's play made its Broadway premiere under the direction of Tony winner Sam Gold in 2017. The play, which served as Hnath's Broadway debut, was commissioned by South Coast Repertory.
