The U.S. premiere of The Mother, playwright Florian Zeller’s dramatic companion to his Tony-nominated drama The Father, has extended its Off-Broadway run at the Atlantic Theater Company ahead of its first public performance on February 20.

Co-starring Oscar nominee Isabelle Huppert (Elle) and Golden Globe Award nominee Chris Noth (The Good Wife), the production will play an additional week of performances through April 13. The Mother will officially open March 11. Trip Cullman directs the translation by Christopher Hampton.

The cast also features Justice Smith (The Get Down, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) and Odessa Young (Days of Rage, Assassination Nation).

Zeller’s portrait of a matriarch searching for stability after she's left on her own to watch her children grow up and develop their own lives premiered in the U.K. with engagements at Bath's Ustinov and London's Tricycle Theatre during the 2015–2016 season.

The Mother will feature scenic design by Mark Wendland, costume design by Anita Yavich, lighting design by Ben Stanton, sound design and original composition by Fitz Patton, projections by Lucy MacKinnon, and casting by Telsey + Company, William Cantler, CSA; Adam Caldwell, CSA; Karyn Casl, CSA.
