Special Features The Look Book: The Stars Stayed Gold at The Outsiders Opening Night

The evening offered shimmering tones and an outfit designed by Angelina Jolie.

Sky Lakota-Lynch, Emma Pittman, and Sarafina Bush Michaelah Reynolds

The opening night of The Outsiders certainly kept its promise to "stay gold," with an array of radiant, shimmering ensembles—and plenty of tough, edgy "cool guy" looks to balance.

Plus, several pieces were original designs by friends of cast members...including an outfit designed by producer Angelina Jolie (yes, THAT Angelina Jolie!). See highlights from the red carpet below.

Tilly Evans-Krueger Michaelah Reynolds

Tilly Evans-Krueger

Cast member Tilly Evans-Krueger is a work of art in this self-designed (!) two-piece set. The high undercut of the top juxtaposed with the elegant length of the skirt makes this ensemble (sewed by Emma Sicker) a beautiful balance of timeless glamour and modern minimalism. Her Vice Versa jewelry and angular white heels elevate it all while still maintaining simplicity.

Sky Lakota-Lynch Michaelah Reynolds

Sky Lakota-Lynch

Cast member Sky Lakota-Lynch turned heads in a custom outfit designed by the show's producer Angelina Jolie (yes, you read that right. Talk about multi-talented!). The tan bomber jacket, pants, and vest underneath have an assortment of different patches and pins featuring the names of the Greasers, the show's onstage gang. Lakota-Lynch's graphic t-shirt reads "loyal"—an accurate descriptor for his steadfast character Johnny.

Sarafina Bush Michaelah Reynolds

Sarafina Bush

Costume designer Sarafina Bush looks like a star in this denim Akira dress. The feathered neckline adds a touch of whimsy to the structured denim, which is perfectly matched by her Steve Madden heels. Her camel-colored leather bag (which reads "Protect Black Women") is by Black-owned business CISE, and her earrings by Black-owned business Lingua Nigra give the perfect pop of color.

Emma Pittman Michaelah Reynolds

Emma Pittman

Cast member Emma Pittman is ethereal in this gorgeous custom gold dress designed by Anna Kate Spears. The corresponding gold clutch designed by Brendan McCann features the show's logo and opening date, making this accessory not only a unique piece for a red carpet, but a beautiful keepsake to cherish. Her red scarf, draped over her shoulder, perfectly complements the open cut of the back, bringing a bit of Socs sophistication.

Daryl Tofa Michaelah Reynolds

Daryl Tofa

Cast member Daryl Tofa is killing it in this laid-back look, with his handkerchief, cardigan, and leather pants by The Brooklyn Circus. The green shades of the cardigan with the rusty tones of the pants are giving ultimate Greaser vibes. His Ralph Lauren boots and Raggedy Threads belt tie the look together, and his pearl evil eye necklace by Seen Kids Jewelry is the perfect final touch.

Kevin William Paul Michaelah Reynolds

Kevin William Paul

Cast member Kevin William Paul looks like a rockstar in this edgy ensemble styled by Jake Sokoloff. The black leather pants give off a tough look, but the shimmery fabric of the blazer brightens the look up with a fun, playful touch. His belt, boots, and rings bring this outfit to the next level of cool guy status.

Joshua Boone Michaelah Reynolds

Joshua Boone

Cast member Joshua Boone is certainly serving "leader of the pack" energy with this dark-but-distinguished look. His brocade-patterned forest green blazer, plus the black pants and loafers, add an assertive sense of sophistication perfect for a red carpet. He also keeps it cool with the loosely-buttoned shirt underneath and a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses.
