The world premiere is directed by its playwright, Bedlam Artistic Director Eric Tucker.

The Off-Broadway theatre company Bedlam, which recently presented a revival of Tom Stoppard's Arcadia, kicks off its new season February 24 with the world premiere of Artistic Director Eric Tucker's The Assassination of Julius Caesar as Told by William Shakespeare and George Bernard Shaw at the West End Theater on W. 86th St.

Adapted and directed by Tucker from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar and Shaw's Caesar and Cleopatra, the new work offers an in-depth examination of Caesar by combining Shakespeare and Shaw’s character as one. Opening night is set for March 17.

The cast features Rajesh Bose, Jonathan Judge-Russo, Mike Labbadia, Mackenzie Moyer, Andrew Rothenberg, Stephen Michael Spencer, Deychen Volino-Gyetsa, and Shayvawn Webster.

The production is also designed by Tucker.
