The Manhattan Theatre Club's Broadway revival of Saint Joan began previews April 3 with Condola Rashad (A Doll's House, Part 2) playing the lead role of Joan. It officially opens April 25 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Previously, there have been two other Broadway productions of the Bernard Shaw play.

Saint Joan follows the historical 15th-century story of Joan of Arc, a French peasant woman who believes that two saints and one of the archangels audibly spoke to her and called her to join the military as an order from God. She is then put on trial because women were not allowed to join the military.

Saint Joan is directed by Daniel Sullivan. Other cast members include Walter Bobbie (Chicago) as the Bishop of Beauvais and Cauchon; Adam Chanler-Berat (Amélie: A New Musical) as the Dauphin and Charles VII; Jack Davenport as the Earl of Warwick; John Glover (Death of A Salesman) as the Archbishop of Rheims and a Gentleman; Patrick Page (Spring Awakening) as Robert de Baudricourt and the Inquisitor; Daniel Sunjata (Take Me Out) as Dunois; Maurice Jones (Romeo and Juliet) as the Page to Dunois and the Canon de Courcelles; Russell G. Jones as Monseigneur de la Trémouille and the Page to Warwick; Max Gordon Moore (Indecent) as Gilles de Rais, Bluebeard, and Brother Martin Ladvenu; Matthew Saldivar (Grease) as Bertrand de Poulengey and Canon John D’Estivet; Robert Stanton (A Free Man of Color) as the Steward to Baudricourt, the Chaplain de Stogumber, and an English Soldier; Lou Sumrall as Captain La Hire and the Executioner; Ben Horner (War Horse) as the Court Page; and Mandi Masden as the Duchess de la Trémouille.
