Broadway's Swept Away digitally releases a cast album via Joy Machine Records February 7. Listen here.
A physical CD release is expected to follow in the coming weeks.
Featuring songs by folk-rock group The Avett Brothers and inspired by their 2004 album Mignonette, Swept Away opened its Broadway debut at the Longacre Theatre November 19, 2024, after beginning previews October 29, and finished its run December 29. The musical, which features a book by John Logan and choreography by David Newmann, is directed by Michael Mayer.
Tony winner John Gallagher Jr. (Spring Awakening) starred as Mate with Stark Sands (Kinky Boots) as Big Brother, Adrian Blake Enscoe (Dickinson) as Little Brother, and Wayne Duvall (1984) as Captain, all reprising their performances from the musical's earlier mountings at Berkeley Repertory and Arena Stage.
See the company record the album—produced by music supervisor and orchestrator Brian Usifer, arranger and orchestrator Chris Miller, and music director Will Van Dyke, along with Madison Wells Live—from the studio in the video below.
