Industry News Submissions Open for 4th Annual Write Out Loud Songwriting Contest

Created by Tony nominee Taylor Louderman, the competition awards emerging musical writers with a showcase concert and track recording.

The 4th annual Write Out Loud Contest—led by Mean Girls Tony nominee Taylor Louderman along with Benjamin Rauhala, Hannah Kloepfer, Sarah Glugatch, and Josh Collopy—is now accepting submissions for the 2022 musical theatre songwriting competition. 

Original songs will be accepted through February 28 at WriteOutLoudContest.com. A team of adjudicators will select three songs to be recorded by a Broadway alum, and the tracks will be distributed on iTunes, Apple Music, and Spotify. Winners will also have their song showcased at an NYC concert along with songs from up to 10 finalists.

Past winners include India Angel, Ethan Carlson, Matt Copley, Taylor Fagins, Chloe Geller, Anna M Johnson, Brandon Michael Lowden, Kailey Marshall, Alexander Sage Oyen, Matt Pena, Kat Siciliano, and Mackenzie Szabo.
