The "Spring & Summer" Cabaret does not include songs from Spring Awakening itself, which is headed for a Broadway revival this fall. According to production notes, "Audiences can expect to hear a variety of different musical styles and some behind-the-scenes anecdotes from the actors' time with the show."
There will be two performances that day, at 7 and 9:30 PM, featuring Krystina Alabado (American Idiot), Christy Altomare (Mamma Mia!), Julie Benko (Les Miserables), Justin Scott Brown (ACT’s A Little Night Music), Amanda Castaños, Brian Charles Johnson (American Idiot), Caitlin Kinnunen (The Bridges of Madison County), Anthony Lee Medina (STARZ’s "Flesh and Bone"), Ben Moss ("Brooklynite"), Eryn Murman ("5j Barrow"), Claire Sparks, Taylor Trensch (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time), Gabe Violett, Lucas Wells, Remy Zaken ("Brooklynite"), Zach Reiner-Harris and several more to be announced.
Charity Wicks will provide musical direction. Shoshana Feinstein is producer.
Next year, Carnegie Hall's house band will perform Bernstein’s “Kaddish” Symphony, unfinished works by Schubert, and the final concert of Conductor Bernard Labadie.
