Congratulations are in order for the nominees of the 75th Annual Antoinette Perry Awards for Excellence in Broadway Theatre!

Congratulations are in order as nominations for the 75th Annual Antoinette Perry Awards for Excellence in Broadway Theatre went live May 9 at 9 AM ET. Hosted by Tony winner Adrienne Warren and three-time Tony nominee Joshua Henry, shows like A Strange Loop, MJ the Musical, and Paradise Square were among the list that were included in this year's accolades.

Four-time Tony winner Harvey Fierstein gushed over the nominees on Twitter. He wrote, "Absolutely thrilled for all of my friends, colleagues and artists whom I've yet to meet as you celebrate you nominations and we get to celebrate YOU! Breathe it all in and enjoy. You've earned your place in theater history with love, talent, and hard freakin' work!"

Hamilton and In the Heights actor Javier Muñoz tweeted, "PHEW!!!! What a beautiful list of nominations! Congratulations to all nominees!!!"

"Congrats to all the @TheTonyAwards nominees! See y’all on June 12th," tweeted this year's Tony Awards host Ariana DeBose. The performer was previously nominated for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of Donna Summer in Summer: The Donna Summer Musical.

The Tony Award-winning lyricist Benj Pasek (Dear Evan Hansen) tweeted his congratulations to Shoshana Bean who is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical for her role in Mr. Saturday Night

He wrote, "Tony-nominee @ShoshanaBean always had an inevitable ring to it!!!"

Two-time nominee Lynn Nottage received a congratulatory message from How I Learned to Drive playwright Paula Vogel. "@Lynnbrooklyn mazeltov you record breaker you! TWO nominations! So happy for you." Nottage is nominated for Best Book of a Musical for MJ the Musical and Best Play for Clyde's.

Tony nominee announcer Warren wrote, "CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE NOMINEES!!!!!!!!!!!!" And theatre journalist Ayanna Prescod summarized the theatre community's general feelings. "Anyway…I am the happiest I ever been. That was a rush!!!!"

Several stage favorites took to their Instagram stories to share their kind sentiments. While memorialized in this article, Instagram stories only remain viewable for 24 hours after they’re posted.

Paradise Square standby Aisha Jackson tagged her co-star and Tony nominee Joaquina Kalukango in a post, writing, "Let's goooooooo!!!!!" The performer followed the Instagram Story with another congratulations, this time aimed towards A Strange Loop co-producer Cody Renard. She wrote, "My friend is a TONY NOMINATED PRODUCER" while sharing a screen capture of a text message she sent that reads, "noms for your show sir!!!!!! KUDOS."

Mrs. Doubtfire performer Kaleigh Cronin shared some words to her Tony Award nominated co-star Rob McClure. On her Instagram Story, she wrote, "The most wonderful, deserving man is a @thetonyawards nominee!"

Eden Espinosa congratulated her friend Shoshana Bean. She wrote, "I cannot contain my pride and excitement."

Fanny Brice actor Beanie Feldstein expressed her "love" for her costar Jared Grimes who is nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical for his portrayal of Eddie Ryan in the current Funny Girl revival. She wrote that he is "made of actual magic."

Head Over Heels actor Bonnie Milligan posted a teary-eyed picture to her Instagram Story with the caption, "Tony noms took me out this morning." She continued in an Instagram post, congratulating her peer Matt Doyle who is nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical for Company. Milligan wrote, "I don’t have the proper words. I’ve known and loved this man for so long. We’ve seen it all together. We’ve laughed with each other til we can’t breathe, we’ve held each other when we’ve cried." 

Doyle received another message from his peer Max Clayton. The Music Man performer wrote, "Tony Award Nominee Matt Doyle. Yes. My freaking heart. I’m so d**n proud of you. This is the best day ever!!!"

A Strange Loop's L Morgan Lee made history today, becoming the first openly Trans Tony Award-nominated performer for her work in the musical. The performer took to Twitter to share that she "can't stop crying." Several members of the theatre community offered their remarks in the comment section. 

The Prom's Josh Lamon wrote, "AMAZING!" Composer and writer Bobby Cronin commented, "So happy for you!! So well deserved!! SHINE, my friend, SHINE!!!!" And Broadway's Sara Ramirez left two emojis: a kiss and a party popper.

"I have been extolling the virtues of this man for many many years," wrote stage and screen actor Saycon Sengbloh about John Andrew Morrison and his Tony nominee for A Strange Loop. "Not only a fine actor but a fine human being and a very talented creative & visual artist a true renaissance man I’m so proud of you! Congratulations."

Composer Jaime Lozano tweeted an encouraging message to the theatre community, in celebration of the Tony nominations. "Sending all my love to my friends who have gotten this distinction and also to the entire community. Let’s celebrate live theatre as we keep doing our work telling our stories."

Following last year's two-part broadcast shared by CBS and Paramount+, the 2022 Tony Awards will include an hour of exclusive programming streaming on Paramount+ June 12 from 7 PM ET, followed by the three-hour awards ceremony airing live on CBS and streaming simultaneously on Paramount+ (for premium-level subscribers only) from 8 PM ET, making this year's ceremony the first in Tony Awards history to be available live nationwide.

The broadcast will also be available to stream on demand on Paramount+ for all membership tiers following the live stream.
