US/Canada Singin' In The Rain To Play Toronto

Jonathan Church's adaptation of the 1952 film has previously played the West End and Japan.

Jonathan Church's production of Singin' in the Rain, which began in 2012 at the Chichester Festival and has since played London's Palace Theatre and Sadler's Wells as well as enjoyed tours of Japan and the UK and Ireland, will make its North American premiere in Toronto at the Princess of Wales Theatre September 23 to October 23. 

Directed by Jonathan Church, with choreography by Andrew Wright, the musical is a stage adaptation of the popular movie musical of the same name which starred actors Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds. Singin' in the Rain, the musical, has a story and book by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, who adapted their screenplay for the 1952 film, lyrics by Arthur Freed, and music by Nacio Herb Brown. Set design is by Simon Higlett, and the lighting design by Tim Mitchell. It is produced by Michael Harrison Entertainment and Jonathan Church Productions, and presented in Toronto by David Mirvish
