The long-running cable variety show Jamie deRoy & friends will pay tribute to Tony-winning lyricist Sheldon Harnick, who passed away June 23 at the age of 99.
The August 7 broadcast, which airs at 8 PM ET on the Manhattan Neighborhood Network (Spectrum HD channel 1993 and Verizon Fios channel 37), will feature archival footage, anecdotes, and performances by Christiane Noll, Bonnie Langford, and co-host Barry Kleinbort. Viewers will also be treated to deRoy’s interview with Harnick, from a 2010 Primary Stages evening at 59E59.
Noll will perform “When Did I Fall in Love?” from Fiorello, Kleinbort will offer “Anatevka” from Fiddler on the Roof, andLangford will sing “Sunrise, Sunset,” alsofrom Fiddler. The music director is Paul Greenwood.
