The Acting Company's Louanna O. Carlin & John MacDonald Reading Series will continue February 6 at 7 PM with a reading of Molière's The Misanthrope, translated by Neil Bartlett, at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater.

Directed by Producing Director Devin Brain, the cast will feature Acting Company alum Kelley Curran (Present Laughter) as Celimene and Elizabeth Stahlmann (Slave Play) as Arsinoe with Rufus Collins (The Royal Family) as Oronte, Ben Horner (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) as Philinte, Chukwudi Iwuji (The Low Road) as Alceste, and Nikki Massoud (Wish You Were Here) as Eliante.

Bartlett’s translation of Molière’s comedy of manners transports the formal court of Louis XIV into a Hollywood film studio, while retaining the rhymed couplets and verse of classical French.

The series will continue March 6 with Robert Zellers and Kent Gash's Billy Strayhorn: Something to Live For, featuring the songs of Strayhorn; and May 22 with Mustapha Matura's Three Sisters (after Chekhov).
