Rehearsals are currently underway for Julia May Jonas' new play Your Own Personal Exegesis.

Directed by Annie Tippe (Octet), the production will begin performances November 19, open December 5, and run through December 31 at Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3's Claire Tow Theater.

Set in a liberal parish, the memory play centers on a youth pastor and a group of teens in a coming-of-age tale of eroticism and religious ecstasy. The cast features Hannah Cabell, Cole Doman, Annie Fang, Savidu Geevaratne, and Mia Pak.

The creative team includes set designer Brett J. Banakis, costume designer Wendy Yang, lighting designer Jeanette Oi-Suk Yew, and sound designer by Stowe Nelson. Original music is by Brian Cavanagh-Strong. Karen Evanouskas will serve as stage manager.

Jonas' theatre work has been presented and developed with The Bushwick Starr, New Georges, Ars Nova, Target Margin, and others. Her debut novel, Vladimir, was published in February.
