The first installment of the concert series brought Broadway to Washington Heights.

The first installment of the second annual Broadway Forever concert series in Washington Heights included a star-studded lineup of performances from Broadway favorites like Christopher Jackson, Norm Lewis, Cheyenne Jackson, and many more. The free pop-up concert and community service opportunity will return for another day September 24, this time at Lou Gehrig Plaza in the Bronx (East 161st Street),

The concert series, set for 11 AM on both days, features performances and appearances from Casey Cott (Moulin Rouge! The Musical), Charity Angél Dawson (Waitress), Jordan Fisher (Dear Evan Hansen), Olivia Holt (Chicago), Cheyenne Jackson (Into the Woods), Christopher Jackson (Hamilton), Alexis Michelle (RuPaul’s Drag Race), Adam Pascal (Rent), and Jelani Remy (Back To The Future), as well as current cast members from & Juliet (Rachel Webb), Chicago (Lili Thomas), Harmony (Sean Bell, Danny Kornfeld, Zal Owen, Eric Peters, Blake Roman, Steven Telsey), Here Lies Love (Aaron Alcaraz and Jaygee Macapugay), Moulin Rouge! The Musical (Jacqueline B. Arnold, Heather Makalani, David Merino and Kelsey Orem), and Some Like It Hot (Kayla Pecchioni). Not all artists will perform at both events.

In addition to the concerts, attendees also have the opportunity to sign up for future community service opportunities, which will be coordinated by New York Cares and their partner organizations. (Just a few blocks away from the concert, volunteers will gather at 9 AM September 24 to revitalize Joyce Kilmer Park and Franz Siegel Park in the South Bronx. To register, click here.)

NY Forever, in partnership with City National Bank and the New York City Department of Transportation, present the events produced and staged by 6W Entertainment, with additional support from New York Cares and the Times Square Alliance.
