Regional News See Bobby Conte Thornton, Mamie Parris, Matt Bogart, Omar Lopez-Cepero, More Star in Muny Paint Your Wagon Performances began July 27 at the outdoor St. Louis venue.

The Muny's production of a revised version of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe’s Paint Your Wagon, the sixth show of its second century, begins performances July 27.

Directed and choreographed by Josh Rhodes with music direction by Sinai Tabak, the limited engagement continues through August 2 at the St. Louis venue.

The cast features Matt Bogart as Ben Rumson, Mamie Parris as Cayla Woodling, Omar Lopez-Cepero as Armando, Bobby Conte Thornton as William, Maya Keleher as Jennifer Rumson, Allan K. Washington as Wesley, Preston Boyd as Jake, Austin Ku as Ming Li, Raymond J. Lee as Guang Li, Rodney Hicks as H. Ford, and Michael James Reed as Craig Woodling.

The ensemble includes Akilah Ayanna, Juan Caballer, Matthew Davies, Richard Gatta, Sally Glaze, Michael Milkanin, Trina Mills, Pascal Pastrana, Michael Seltzer, and Cooper Stanton. The company is also joined by the Muny Teen youth ensemble.

Paint Your Wagon features an original book and lyrics by Lerner and music by Loewe with a new book by Jon Marans, dance and additional arrangements by Jason DeBord, and orchestrations by August Eriksmoen.

The production also has scenic design by Michael Schweikardt, costume design by Amy Clark, lighting design by John Lasiter, sound design by John Shivers and David Patridge, video design by Caite Hevner, wig design by Leah J. Loukas. The production stage manager is Bonnie Panson, and casting is by Telsey + Company.
