Disney’s Aladdin welcomed Ainsley Melham, Michael James Scott, and Mike Longo to the Broadway company February 19.
Melham and Scott, who took on the roles of Aladdin and the Genie respectively in the Australian production, reprise their performances at the New Amsterdam Theatre on Broadway. Longo, who steps in for Steel Burkhardt as Kassim after appearing in the musical's national tour, also returns to Agrabah.
The musical, directed by Casey Nicholaw, celebrates its five-year anniversary on Broadway this year after opening March 20, 2014. The current cast also includes Arielle Jacobs as Jasmine, Jonathan Freeman as Jafar, Brian Gonzales as Babkak, Brad Weinstock as Omar, JC Montgomery as Sultan, and Don Darryl Rivera as Iago.
