Second Stage Theater's upcoming New York premiere of Bess Wohl's Camp Siegfried will be led by Sawyer Barth (The Kids Are Alright) and Lily McInerny (Palm Trees and Power Lines), both making their New York stage debuts with the production. Directed by David Cromer, the production is set to begin October 25 at Second Stage's Tony Kiser Theater, with opening night November 15.

Rounding out the company as understudies will be Jane Ackermann and Charlie B. Foster.

Set on the cusp of World War II at Long Island's real-life Camp Siegfried, the play follows two teenagers who find themselves headed towards either young passion or fascist extremism. The play received its world premiere at London's Old Vic last year.

The new production will feature scenic design by Brett Banakis, costume design by Brenda Abbandandolo, lighting design by Tyler Micoleau, and sound design by Christopher Darbassie.

Second Stage's 2022-23 season also includes the Broadway premieres of Stephen Adly Guirgis' Between Riverside and Crazy, directed by Austin Pendleton and scheduled to begin performances at the Hayes Theatre this fall; and Larissa FastHorse's The Thanksgiving Play, set to play the Hayes next spring. FastHorse will become the first female Native American playwright to be produced on Broadway with the production. The company's Tony-winning revival of Richard Greenberg's Take Me Out will also return to Broadway for a commercial encore run, with performances beginning October 27 at the Schoenfeld Theatre.
