A host of Broadway artists are organizing to rally support for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the upcoming presidential election as part of the new volunteer coalition Broadway for Harris. The coalition's activities will include phone banking, canvassing, social media outreach, and fundraising events.
Broadway for Harris is guided by an organizing committee of over 70 industry leaders, including current and former Broadway performers, producers, writers, directors, choreographers and marketing specialists.

The organization's official launch event will be a watch party for the final night of the Democratic National Convention, held August 22 at Hell's Kitchen's Industry Bar from 7-11 PM. The event will include special appearances by Ellyn Marsh (Pretty Woman), Tony nominee Brenda Braxton (Smokey Joe's Café), and RuPaul's Drag Race alum Brita Filter, with additional guests to be announced. Admission is free with a $10 suggested campaign donation.
On August 26, Broadway for Harris will host a public Zoom call for theatre makers and fans to learn more about opportunities for involvement in supporting the Harris/Walz campaign. Additional organizing and fundraising events are to be announced.
