Off-Broadway News Sam Morrison's Sugar Daddy Extends Encore Off-Broadway Engagement

Morrison's one-man-show grapples with the loss of his beloved partner with surprising humor.

Sam Morrison's Sugar Daddy, a hit at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, has announced an extension to its encore Off-Broadway engagement at SoHo Playhouse. Originally scheduled through April 1, the production will play an additional week, with closing now set for April 8.

The production, co-produced by Ali Fischbein and SoHo Playhouse, began its original engagement January 11, closing February 17. The current encore began March 3.

Grappling with the death of his partner from COVID-19 in 2021, Morrison transforms his grief into humor, taking the audience on a journey of love, loss, diabetes, seagull attacks, and a few extraordinary coincidences. Ryan Cunningham directs.
