The Roundabout Theatre Company revival ofSam Shepard's True West, directed by James Macdonald, plays its final performance at the American Airlines Theatre March 17.
In Shepard’s Pulitzer Prize-nominated drama, two brothers—played by Ethan Hawke and Paul Dano—are holed up in their mother's California house where they are forced to wrestle with big issues—and each other.
True West began performances December 27, 2018, ahead of a January 24 opening. The cast also includes Marylouise Burke and Gary Wilmes.
The Roundabout Broadway revival features a creative team that includes Mimi Lien (sets), Kaye Voyce (costumes), Jane Cox (lights), Bray Poor (sound design), Tom Watson (hair and wig design), and Jim Carnahan (casting).
The original score by Carey Sharpe, Dru Decaro, Erin Boehme, and Adam “snake” Kobylarz immerses audiences into a gothic nightclub where vampires mingle with the living.
