According to a show spokesperson, Wilson is taking a brief medical leave, and planning on returning to the play at the Cort Theatre May 5. Until her return, the role of Brenda is being played by actress Glenne Headly, an Emmy nominee for her performances in "Bastard Out Of Carolina" and "Lonesome Dove."
The play, from the creator and star of HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and co-creator of “Seinfeld," is directed by Tony Award winner Anna D. Shapiro.

The cast also includes Jayne Houdyshell, Rosie Perez, Ben Shenkman, Lewis J. Stadlen, Jerry Adler, Marylouise Burke, Jake Cannavale, Jenn Lyon, Jonny Orsini and Molly Ranson.

Fish in the Dark is described as "a comedy about a death in the family."
The production has scenic design by Todd Rosenthal, costume design by Ann Roth, lighting design by Brian MacDevitt and sound design by Rob Milburn and Michael Bodeen.
Fish is produced by Scott Rudin.
As previously reported, Tony Award-winning comic actor Jason Alexander, best known for playing George Costanza on the sitcom "Seinfeld," will replace David in Fish in the Dark when David finishes his scheduled run on June 7. The production, which was scheduled to close on that date, will now extend through July 19.
