News Primary Stages Launches Program To Supply NYC Students With Free Theatre Tickets Off-Broadway theatre company Primary Stages has announced the launch of Tixteen, a new initiative that provides New York City middle and high school students the opportunity to attend their productions for free.

A limited number of tickets for Primary Stages productions will be made available and can be reserved seven days in advance of each performance. To book their seats, students should call The Duke on 42nd Street box office at (646) 223-3010 or visit in person with a valid student ID. Students are eligible to reserve one or two tickets to the company's current production of Topher Payne's comedy Perfect Arrangement, which will begin previews Sept. 29.

"These teens are the American theater's future," says Casey Childs, the founder and executive producer at Primary Stages. "Our new Tixteen program is an extension of our long-running Free Student Matinee program and another way we can give New York teens from the five boroughs exposure to all the possibilities of new American plays and playwriting. We welcome this opportunity to open up our work to these vital, young audience members."
