Sarah Snook, who plays Shiv Roy in HBO’s hit series Succession, returned to the London stage February 6 in a new adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s novel The Picture of Dorian Gray.
Adapted and directed by Sydney Theatre Company Artistic Director Kip Williams, the production will officially open February 15 at The Theatre Royal Haymarket. (This adaptation was first seen in Sydney in 2020.)
Williams' collision of form employs an interplay of video and theatre through a choreographed collection of onstage cameras bringing to life 26 characters, each played by Snook.

Snook, who made her London stage debut in 2016 in Matthew Warchus’ production of The Master Builder opposite Ralph Fiennes, said in an earlier statement, “I am elated to return to the London stage in such an astonishing piece of theatre. From Oscar Wilde’s remarkable original text to Kip Williams’ stunning adaptation, this story of morality, innocence, narcissism, and consequence is going to be thrilling to recreate for a new audience. I can’t wait.”
The production also has design by Marg Horwell, lighting design by
Nick Schlieper, composition and sound design by Clemence Williams, and video design by David Bergman.
The London engagement is produced by Michael Cassel, Adam Kenwright, Len Blavatnik and Danny Cohen, Daryl Roth, Amanda Lipitz and Henry Tisch, and Jonathan Church.
Performances are currently scheduled through May 11.
