Feeling down? Then these photos of the Kimberly Akimbocast will make your "shitty life better." On opening night of the new Broadway musical—November, 10, 2022—in thematically appropriate fashion, Playbill handed the cast a disposable camera at their post-show party.
In celebration of the show's cast album being released today, February 14, we dropped the camera off at the local Fotomat and are sharing them with you. See these Broadway stars let loose, and party like it's 1999.
Kimberly Akimbo, featuring a book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire and music by Jeanine Tesori, is about a young girl (Victoria Clark) who ages at super-speed. It's also set in the '90s, and filled with many references (from candy necklaces to shirts tied around waists). See the '90s-inspired snapshots below.
