Dorian Harewood, who is currently playing Older Noah in The Notebook on Broadway, was honored with a Sardi's caricature March 22. See photos from the portrait's unveiling at the famed Manhattan restaurant below.
The Notebook marks Harewood's return to the Broadway stage for the first time in over 45 years. The veteran performer's credits also include The Mighty Gents, Streamers, and Don't Call Back. Harewood has also been seen in national tours of Kiss of the Spider Woman, Madame Lily, and Miss Moffat.
Harewood's wife Nancy; his co-stars from The Notebook, including Joy Woods, Ryan Vasquez, and John Cardoza; and more joined the actor to celebrate his portrait unveiling.
On screen, Harewood has appeared in films including Gothika, Levity, and Pacific Heights; as well as TV shows including Criminal Minds, I'll Fly Away, Private Practice, and more. Harewood was honored with the 1994 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal of Clarence "Cool Papa" Charleston in I'll Fly Away.
Harewood also received an Emmy nomination for his narration in Hank Aaron: Chasing a Dream, as well as a second NAACP Image Award nomination for his work in The Hoop Life.
